Unstuffed peppers are stuffed with ground beef, green peppers, rice, tangy tomato sauce, and plenty of gooey cheese. It's ridiculously easy to do. Moreover, one pan is enough to fill you up.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 3 bell peppers, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce
  • 1½ cups water
  • 1 cup uncooked white long-grain rice
  • 1 teaspoon steak and burger seasoning
  • Garlic powder ¼ tsp
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sauté the ground beef with the onions and bell peppers. Strain and return to pot.
  2. Add spaghetti sauce, water, rice, steak seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper to the ground beef mixture. mix.
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Cover and simmer over medium-high heat for about 25 minutes or until rice is tender. If the liquid is too low, add more water to the ½ cup.
  4. When the rice is soft, mix the finely chopped mozzarella cheese in the cup.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top. Continue cooking until the cheese melts and foams.
