Beef and Noodles is a simple recipe made with ground beef or beef chips in a creamy brown gravy with creamy mushroom soup and egg noodles. You will love this quick and easy stir-fry.
Nothing beats the creamy homemade brown gravy with all kinds of beef and hearty egg noodles. This is a meal my whole family absolutely loves and comfort food at its best.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 pound egg noodles, uncooked
Sauce
- 2½ cups beef broth
- 1 chicken stock cube or 1 teaspoon more than stock
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce, can of Worcestershire sauce
- Onion powder 1 teaspoon
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon mustard powder
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tbsp flour
- ½ cup whipped cream can be sub-milk
- 1 (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cups grated cheddar cheese

Instructions
- preparation work: Combine beef broth, chicken broth, soy sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, mustard powder, and thyme. set aside.
- Cook beef and onions: Sauté ground beef and onions over medium heat until browned. Eliminate fat. Add minced garlic and season lightly with salt (optional) and pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Remove meat and set aside on a plate.
- Start by boiling the pasta water. Boil the egg noodles in salted water and cook according to the directions on the package. Once boiling, drain.
- Make roux: Melt the butter over medium heat in the same skillet you used to sear the meat. Sprinkle with flour and whisk for 2 minutes or until flour no longer smells and is golden brown.
- Add beef stock mixture: Add about 1/2 cup of beef broth and bring to a gentle boil. Gradually add the rest of the broth, stirring constantly. Do this slowly to keep the mixture nice and thick. Bring to a gentle simmer and simmer for about 10 minutes while the pasta cooks.
- Stir in the mushroom soup cream and cream.
- Reduce heat. Stir in the cheese and add the beef back.
- Add boiled noodles and mix. Note: If you like noodles with a strong sour taste, you don't need to add all the noodles.
- If the sauce is left as it is, it will thicken. additional fee!
