This Nutella Baked French Toast recipe is a super easy and delicious brunch casserole for kids. An appetizer made with 5 ingredients that everyone, young and old, loves.
Still, I believe Nutella has its place and fills the space with a rich, fluffy French toast casserole. Yes, I still love it, and I bet you do too...
Ingredients
- 8 slices of white bread
- 4 eggs
- 1¼ cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla essence
- 1 cup Nutella
- Butter to grease the casserole dish

Instructions
- Butter an 11-by-7-inch baking dish. (See note below for pan sizes). In a medium bowl, mix eggs, milk, and vanilla well. set aside.
- Spread 2 tablespoons of Nutella on 8 slices of bread. Roll the sliced bread into a cigar shape and stuff it with Nutella.
- Dip each loaf in the egg mixture and place seam-down in a buttered casserole dish. Continue with the remaining rolls and place them side by side in an enchilada-style casserole dish. Pour the remaining pudding over the bread.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight until the cream is absorbed into the bread.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Transfer to the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the top of casserole is golden brown. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top using a sieve and sprinkle with melted Nutella if desired. Garnish with sliced strawberries and maple syrup, if desired.
